Affluent, residential Mount Eden is dominated by a volcanic peak also known as Maungawhau, with hiking and jogging trails leading to views over the Hauraki Gulf. The renowned All Blacks play rugby at Eden Park, where cricket matches also draw crowds. Bookshops and vintage clothes stores line Mount Eden Road, along with trendy cafes and wine bars, while the Asian eateries on Dominion Road are known for dumplings.

Most of the cafes and eateries were pet friendly! Very comforting to know that ๐Ÿ™‚ย

We drove up to the mid-point where there was a small parking area, maybe enough for only 10 cars. Parked our car there and continued our journey by foot. The weather was rather warm and very sunny, temperature was hovering around 24 degree celsius. Don’t forget to bring yourย brollies & UV sunscreen!
